Video for property listings: bringing the viewing to the phone screen

Today's buyers see a property on their phone before visiting. A practical guide for agents: the filming route, light, and what the video must show.

Property videos cut down on wasted viewings. Someone who calls after watching already knows the space and is a more serious buyer.

Plan the route first#

Move like a visitor: from the front door to the living room, kitchen, bedrooms, and finally the property's best feature — the view, terrace or skylight.

Pick the right time to film#

Daylight makes a space look larger and airier. Open every curtain and switch on the lights to soften harsh shadows.

What must be seen#

  • Natural light and window orientation.
  • Kitchen and bathrooms up close.
  • Shared spaces: lobby, parking, storage.
  • The view and the neighbourhood — a few seconds outside.

A signature shot at the end is what stays in a buyer's mind.

Specs on screen#

Show size, bedrooms and area as clean on-screen titles. The List-builder style builds them from the details you enter. More in the Property tour lesson.
